AW-Lake Launches Online Catalog of 3D CAD Models Powered by CADENAS PARTsolutions, LLC

Industrial Manufacturer Now Provides Configurable 3D CAD Models and Digital Product Previews

Flow meter manufacturer AW-Lake Company has recently launched an all-new online catalog of configurable 3D CAD models, built by CADENAS PARTsolutions, LLC. Best known for their industrial flow meter products, AW-Lake is placing the power to configure their products in the hands of their customers, simplifying and expediting the selection process while freeing up time for their internal engineering team.

AW-Lake produces Coriolis, positive displacement, turbine, variable area and paddle wheel flow meters with a wide variety of electronic output and control options. AW-Lake meters are used in a broad spectrum of industries ranging from paper, steel and grain mills to automotive, construction and farming. Applications include lubrication systems, cooling systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, fluid power and process control.

“The new online configurator is taking one of our most common telephone customer service calls and making it self-service for our customers,” says Marcia Reiff, Marketing Manager at AW-Lake. “Nearly every customer calls in and speaks with an application engineer or customer service tech. They walk through a series of questions about their system parameters, fluid parameters and needs, to narrow in on the ideal flow meter solution to their application specifics. Then a quote is generated by the tech manually. This process is now streamlined for customers of our LAKE line of meters, and we’re able to free up time for our application engineers to focus on the custom side of the business and the more complex flow measurement system designs. This has been a win-win for our customers and our business.”

AW-Lake produces Coriolis, positive displacement, turbine, variable area and paddle wheel flow meters with a wide variety of electronic output and control options.

In Addition to the 3D CAD models, AW-Lake has added several key features as part of the digital part catalog project. These features include dynamically generated part numbers and 3D PDF data sheets for configured products.

“The new AW-Lake digital part catalog is exciting for engineers, but also customers in other areas of the business,” adds Rob Zesch, President and COO of CADENAS PARTsolutions, LLC. “Many companies give generic PDF sheets for an entire family of products, and rarely provide a fully configured part number. By providing dynamically configured part numbers and 3D PDF data sheets, AW-Lake is making it easier for procurement agents to select and order, or re-order, the right part.”
