Persistent trend: growing demand for CAD, CAE and BIM models

During recent years, the statistics of CADENAS‘ product catalogs have proven, that high-quality, digital data sets are becoming increasingly more important

644,018,189 data sets have been downloaded from the CADENAS download portals in 2022. This corresponds to slightly more than 1,764,433 downloads per day. This means, that users of the various CADENAS portals download an average of more than 20 CAD, CAE and BIM models per second. The current statistics document the increasing number of available digital product catalogs. More than 5,000 manufacturers are now represented with their components. At the same time, the numbers prove that the demand for digital twins of components for the industry continues and the peak has not yet been reached.

From anonymous downloads to buyers

In the meantime, the COVID-19 pandemic was considered as an accelerator of digitalization: In 2020 CADENAS registered a record number of downloaded CAD, CAE and BIM models. But two years later, it is apparent that the trend is continuing at a much higher level than before. Every day, engineers, architects and planners around the world search for high-quality product data for their designs. They find what they are looking for on 3Dfindit.com and the manufacturer portals based on eCATALOGsolutions’ technology. This transforms the otherwise anonymous designers and planners into valuable sales contacts for the component manufacturers.
Because with every download of the digital twins, CADENAS transmits relevant information to the corresponding manufacturer in order to contact the prospective customer and close a sale. In this way, the electronic product catalogs not only increase the companies’ market presence, but also simplify sales while offering (potential) customers a user-friendly service.
