Use any number of categories in order to label preferred parts. Much more than the simple schema "ERP number available: Yes/No" is possible!
Now, with V9.02 it is possible to define rules determining in which colors directory and project symbols are to be displayed in the PARTdataManager in the index tree.[79]
Dark green = Already used at all locations Medium green = Already used at two locations Light green = Already used at one location Yellow = Used at no location, but with ERP number Orange = Standard part Red = Not according to any rule
You could define a color signalizing, whether a part is on stock. Each rule, which can be derivated from table information (project information) is possible!
In each case the parts should be used according to the status colors or bitmaps.
The following figure shows the individually colored index tree (role "location") in PARTdataManager.
The definition of rules for the status display in the table (status bitmaps for table) is possible since the beginning of V9.
The following figures show status bitmaps according to the used logic in the index tree.
3 = Dark green = Already used at all locations
2 = Medium green = Already used at two locations
1 = Light green = Already used at one location
0 = Yellow = Part with ERP number
Red = Part not according to any rule
The following figure shows the status bitmaps in the list view.[80]
The following figure shows the related rule definitions in PARTadmin.
The colors are prioritized. The first set colors have higher priority. This means: If there are several colors in a directory, then the higher priority wins.
PARTadmin -> Category "Roles" -> "Display" index page: Dialog areas "Status indicating bitmaps for table view" and "Status colors for catalog index"
As of v9.03 you can consider parts in the set of rules, which are classified following the Standards classification.
IsStandardPart()
Combinations of conditions are also possible.
MAT_NAME='STEEL' AND IsStandardPart()
