If in PARTdataManager variants are added in the table
via Add dataset to link database (variant)
for example, then the sorting may be
incorrect.
As of PARTsolutions v9.05 you can determine a sorting schema for the opened project in a special dialog box. Thus a manual process is not necessary anymore.
Click on the icon
Set the sorting order for currently opened project 
.
-> The Change sorting order dialog box opens.
Under New sorting order insert the variable(s) comma separated, which determine the sorting.
