4.13.3. Create variants in PARTdataManager

Add dataset to link database (variant)

Select the dataset which lays closest to the variable in need of change.

After clicking on the button, the Create variant window opens.

All variables of the part show up listed

In the example at the side D was set from 20 to the value 22.

Afterwards the same dialog shows up such as for Add dataset to link database (see above).

As a result, the applied variant will be displayed additionally in the PARTdataManager.

When creating variants, possibly these are not correctly sorted (see above figure). However, you can configure a dialog to be opened in order to adjust the sorting sequence of variants for the PARTdataManager table. Thereby manual editing of the PRJTABLE is obsolete. On this please see Set the sorting order for currently opened project.
