This will open the same-named dialog box.
Up to now the Variable filter has only been a "positive" filter, where same variable values indicated a duplicate.
However, there are also cases, where unequal values indicate a duplicate.
![]() | Note |
|---|---|
With exclamation mark ! before variable name, values have to be different in order to identify a duplicate. | |
Part1.Material = Steel Part2.Material = Steel
Part1.Material = Steel Part2.Material = Wood
In this case the variable filter is set to
MATERIAL(The entry in the table column "Material" must be the same to be identified as duplicate.)Teil1.Filename = xy123.prt Teil2.Filename = xy123.prt
➝ The part is NO duplicate. It has only been saved twice. So it shall be excluded from the result list.
In this case the variable filter is set to
!FILENAME(The entry in a table column "Filename" must be unequal to be identified as a duplicate.)
Details on duplicate analysis can be found under Section 3.1.14.2, “ Duplicate Analysis ” in PARTsolutions - User manual.
