4.7.2.48.  Custom selection...

You have the opportunity to use and save your own search templates for the Full-text search so these can be immediately available to you at a later date.

In addition you can define a Default selection, which is automatically displayed under Search in when starting PARTdataManager.

  • Create and save search template

    1. Under Search in select the Custom selection... list item.

      -> The Search path selection window opens.

    2. In the left dialog section Current selection activate the desired directories for the Full-text search by activating the checkbox.

      [Tip]Tip

      To be sure that there are not any "old" selections anywhere click on Reset at the beginning.

    3. Under Template name enter a name and then click on Save. Alternatively you can use the return button as well.

      -> The template is now displayed under User defined templates.

      When you move the mouse over a user defined template then the selection related to the template is displayed.

      Optionally, you can define a Default selection, which is displayed in the list field under Search in when starting PARTdataManager.

      Therefor select the desired template and check Default selection.

    4. Close the dialog via Ok. Alternatively you can use the return button as well.

    5. Start the user-defined search via the Start search button.

    You can now open the saved search templates at any time under your name see below).

    • Ok

      ... closes the window and takes over the current selection for the Full-text search. Alternatively you can use the return button as well.

      With Ok the current selection is used for a onetime search without saving it.

    • Reset

      ...deletes the current selection.

    • With Close the dialog is closed without saving any changes.

  • Modify saved search template

    In the list field (open with arrow key) click on Custom selection... in order to open the Search path selection window.

    Select a template in the right section User defined templates and click on Activate template.

    -> The corresponding selections are now displayed in the left main window Current selection again. Possibly modify these and save the selection again as a template.

    With Delete you can remove saved templates.

  • Use templates

    Already saved templates are displayed in the list field under the separator and can thus be directly selected.
