When using Solid Edge it may happen that PARTdataManager does not move into the background.
In this case, under Extras menu -> Preferences... -> Export to CAD -> Behavior after "Transfer to CAD", select the option Minimize PARTdataManager; (but only if you use one screen or PARTdataManager and CAD are on the same screen). If PARTdataManager is running on its own screen, leave the standard option Bring PARTdataManager into the background.
