  • Trim element with other

    Trim lines onto a cut-off point (shorten or lengthen).

    1. Choose element to trim: Click on the line area to be cut-off.

    2. Choose point of intersection: Click on the cut-off point.

  • Trim elements to each other

    Trim two lines onto a corner.

    1. Select first element to trim

    2. Choose second element to trim

    3. Choose point of intersection: Click on the cut-off point, respectively corner.

  • Cut element between 2 elements

    Remove line area between two points

    1. Choose element to split: Click on the element to be split.

    2. Choose start by point of intersection: Click on starting point of the area to be removed.

    3. Select end by point of intersection: Click on end point.

    You don't have to remove whole elements necessarily.

    You may choose every point (yellow) or auxiliary point (blue circle) of construction on the element.

  • Trim length of line (shorten or lengthen):

    The line length is changed. The start point keeps its position.

    Trimming is performed in the direction of mouse cursor (shorten or lengthen).

    1. Choose line to trim on it's fix end: The fix end is always on the side of the more closely line-end point.

    2. Choose new line length: Drag the mouse cursor in the one or other direction. You can see the new line length in a preview. Fix the line-end point with a mouse click.

    3. If needed, adjust the new length in the docking window Edit element.

      Positive values are shown if you moved in the direction of the other line-end point, negative values analogously when you moved in the other direction.
