2.13.1.2.1. Quick search with auto filters

As of V11 a Filter Assistant is automatically created on the base of the common variables of a selected directory. So you can perform a quick filter search without manual filter generations.

  1. On the tabbed page Part selection -> Structure, select a directory level where projects own common variables.

    (Here in the above example ISO -> Bolts -> Hexagon bolts)

    -> The Filter Assistant is immediately created and displayed.

  2. With the sliders, perform the desired settings:

    • For example for Nominal thread diameter and Length.

    • Choose Search for parts (because the result only contains specific characteristics).

  3. Finally click on Search.

-> After the first search the docking window is taken to the tabbed page Search results so that you can further search without switching dialogs.

-> Filter parameters are marked with yellow in the search result lines.

-> In the input field of the Full-text search, the boolean search string is automatically inserted.
