CADENAS supports new ECLASS version 9.0 as IT service provider
ECLASS classification of new subject areas possible in PARTsolutions
In December 2014 the new ECLASS version 9.0 was published. Since the release new subject areas have been provided and integrated into the standard. CADENAS, the software manufacturer from Augsburg, Germany is an authorized ECLASS IT service provider and supports the new ECLASS version 9.0. As of now users of the Strategic Parts Management system PARTsolutions have access to ECLASS 9.0 standard parts classified according to DIN/EN/ISO. Moreover many renowned manufacturer catalogs contain ECLASS information in PARTsolutions.
In ECLASS 9.0 the previous subject areas were expanded extensively and restructured. In addition the ECLASS-standard was extended by three new subject areas. These include:
- Subject area 13: development (service)
- Subject area 43: optics
- Subject area 44:automobile
Implement ECLASS with CADENAS
To implement ECLASS, the registered association ECLASS e.V. recommends authorized "ECLASS service providers“. For many years CADENAS has been an authorized ECLASS IT service provider and supports it’s customers with your individual ECLASS implementation project. CADENAS in particular specializes in classification projects for industry customers of mechanical and plant engineering and their suppliers.
Since 2008 CADENAS has been a full member of ECLASS
The registered association ECLASS e.V. is promoted by the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology and represents an internationally widespread, cross-industry and norm compliant standard for the uniform classification and description of products and services. CADENAS has been a member of the registered association ECLASS e.V. since April 2008. Since then CADENAS has successfully classified parts, assembly groups and systems of plants and machines in numerous industry projects according to the ECLASS standard. The CADENAS software solution PARTsolutions provides all important features for this purpose, for instance textile and geometric clustering.
