Kollmorgen Launches All-New CAD Model Catalog built by CADENAS

High-performance Motion Control Manufacturer provides cutting-edge digital customer experience to by providing on-demand configurable 3D CAD models

Kollmorgen, a Virginia based designer and manufacturer of high-performance motion control products, has recently launched a new catalog of native CAD models built by CADENAS. Kollmorgen was seeking a boost to their digital customer experience, by providing an easy to use catalog with which customers could design and download the exact product they need. With six product families currently available on the platform, Kollmorgen has 50,000+ parts ready for engineers to search, configure and download into their design.

Bob White, Manager Training and Digital Services at Kollmorgen, says the goal for the project was, “to improve the customer’s overall digital experience, making it easier for engineers to quickly access the models. Our customers strongly prefer to download 3D PDF datasheets too, helping us to more efficiently reach other decision makers within our customers’ organizations.”

Each product download allows customers to easily select and size individual solutions. Kollmorgen understands that providing user friendly information for their customers to obtain is key to their online success. The downloadable parts increase credibility and enhance the customer’s trust which increases the likelihood of closing the order. The easier it is for engineers to discover and download their products, the more likely they will return again and again.

The new CAD model catalog works with every major browser and has been “future proofed” by CADENAS to always stay current with the newest browsers, platforms and trends.

“Manufacturers don’t want to worry about the newest web-browser or HTML standard,” says Jay Hopper, President and COO of CADENAS PARTsolutions LLC. “They want to focus on making great products and providing great customer service. Now that Kollmorgen is using CADENAS to provide their digital downloads, we’ll worry about the new platforms and formats and Kollmorgen and their customers can focus on what they do best.”
