To reduce the calculation time the preview is a simplified version of the pipe. For example, it is not shown whether a pipe is hollow or has roundings.

When editing an element it is highlighted in dark blue color, the dialog with light blue background.

The preview image is continuously updated at each step. Only if an invalid element occurs the preview will stop.

When changing parameters you will see the preview (green or the currently edited element dark blue) and the lastly saved state (gray) side by side (see Fig. „The preview shows a Bend radius changed from 15 to 25“). The last saved state is only updated by confirming the dialog by clicking OK.

The preview in the docking window 3D view can be hidden by clicking on the icon at the bottom left . (In seldom cases needed in order to enhance the performance if a preview is too complex and the computer gets too slow).

You can rotate or zoom the part in the 3D view during the dialog box Pipe is opened. If you lose sight on the preview just click on the icon Fit preview to screen in the bottom right corner of the dialog box Pipe.
