4.7.8.9.5.  Find project dependencies

PARTsolutions V9 enables you to determine and display project dependencies easily.

Prerequisite:

  1. In the configuration file under $CADENAS_USER/projdependency.cfg in the [Settings] block, set the following key to value '1'.[94] 

    [SETTINGS] 
GENERATEDEPENDENCIESONINDEXUPDATE=1

  2. Update the catalog index in PARTadmin -> Index administration.

    -> The dependencies are now a part of the index and do not need to be recalculated each time.

  1. Open Find project dependencies in PARTproject in the context menu of any project.

  2. Define the specific display options.

  3. Start the view with Generate diagram.

[94] At status 9.01 the dependencies are shown downwards. The feature for calculating upwards will come in a later release. Then you can immediately see into which assembly a part was built.
