3.3.3.5.2.3. Document Set Short and Long Texts

If you want to use document short and long texts, activate the additional function documentSetShortAndLongTexts.

Then provide short and long text data in the attribute mapping section [DOCUMENT_SET_SHORT_AND_LONGTEXTS].

Example:

Declaration shorttext

A value can be set for each language for shorttext.

Syntax: Key name is "shorttext", followed by a token for respective language (e.g. DE, EN, etc.).

shorttext.<language token>

Declaration longtext

Any number of keys can be created for longtext.

Syntax: Key name is "longtext", followed by a token for respective language (e.g. DE, EN, etc.), followed by a counter, beginning with 0.

longtext.<language token>.<counter>

Treatment of empty values

You can define how empty values are to be handled. See Section 3.3.3.5.2.13, “Text Preprocessing ” > Key document_longtext_empty_value_handling. The example illustration above shows no entry for longtext.DE.1. (The desired replacement value [in the example "xxx"] appears in the Object Browser )

Display in SAP ECTR

Display in "Desktop" and "Object Browser" > "Customer Data" or "Descriptions/Long Texts"

Display in "Desktop" and "Object Browser" > "Customer Data" or "Descriptions/Long Texts"

"shorttext.LANGUAGE is displayed in the desktop at document level and in the Object Browser under Customer Data as SAP_DESCRIPTION.

"longtext.LANGUAGE.0/1/2." are displayed in the ECTR Object Browser under Customer Data with SAP_DOCTEXT_LANGUAGE or with the addition _1/2.

Additional long texts with counter number > 2 are displayed in the Object Browser under Descriptions/Long Texts on the corresponding language tab page.
