1.11.1.9.3. NX: Sweep Along Guiding Curve

[Note]Note

With V12 SP1, the NX interface supports sweeps that were created with a gradient curve.

Nevertheless take note that this feature is only officially available for future versions and is only an internal test version with V12.

Example:

  1. Click in PARTdesigner in the context menu of a tarp, click on the command New gradient curve.... [Create guide curve...]

  2. Draw the gradient curve and do not forget to set the pattern origin [Pattern origin].

    -> In the 3D history [3D History] Guiding curve is displayed.

  3. In the context menu of Guiding curve, click on the Create basic curve [Create sweep base] command.

    -> Respective dialog area is opened.

  4. Click on Create under Start sketch.

  5. Create the cross-section sketch.

  6. A green tick now appears under Start sketch and you will see a 3D preview. Close the dialog by clicking OK.

    -> The created guiding curve is displayed in the 3D preview.

  7. Export the part to NX.
