There is now a new Decimal places column next to the Data type column in the Variable management [Variable Management] dialog box. This shows how many decimal places are used for each variable. When you open the list field, you can change the number of decimal places (from one to up to 5).
The number of decimal places can only be set for the Real data type and not for the Text and Integer data types.

Changes are checked and conversion problems are displayed in the tooltip (yellow exclamation mark at the beginning of the line).
