5.12.11.29.6. Electrical Connection" class (CNS_CP|4|3) -> "Connection name equivalences " feature

The field Connection name equivalences is used to specify which connection points have the same electrical potential (if any), i.e. those connection points that have a physical (conductive) electrical connection to the currently classified one.

In the CNS classification, this is mapped under the CNS_CP|4|3 (Electrical Connection) class using the identifier and connection name equivalences features.

Identifier and connection name equivalences

Identifier and connection name equivalences

Example:

From the electrical diagram above, we see which connection points have the same potential:

  • S1 and S2

  • (-) and -a

  • (+) and +a

We therefore write for S1:

Connection Name Equivalences     |  S2

For S2:

Connection Name Equivalences     |  S1

In the case that there are more connection points with the same potential, for example S1, S2, S3, S4, it would look like this:

For S1:

Connection Name Equivalences     |  S2||S3||S4

For S2:

Connection Name Equivalences     |  S1||S3||S4

For S3:

Connection Name Equivalences     |  S1||S2||S4

For S4:

Connection Name Equivalences     |  S1||S2||S3
