5.12.11.4.1. Classify a terminal - whole procedure

For following example the Weidmüller Terminal "1267910000" is used.

The characteristics specified in the data sheet - connection type, stripping length and conductor connection cross-section, single-wire max. rated connection - are to be classified as examples.

  1. Preconditions:

    • The CNS classification provides the corresponding classes and characteristics. (If necessary, update the CNS classification using PARTadmin)

      Class system CNS -> Filter connection points [Connection points] -> Insertion Point -> Electrical -> Electrical Connection

    • The needed connection points are set in the part.

  2. Set published elements [Published elements]:

    1. Under Edit project -> Preview, click on the context menu command Select connection point [Choose connection point].

      -> The same-named selection dialog is opened.

    2. Select the desired connection point and confirm with OK.

      -> The corresponding classes and features are loaded below the preview [Preview].

    3. Select "Electrical Connection " under Class name. (The check mark at the beginning of the line must be set

      Assign a unique name (possibly based on the name of the connection point). This name is also displayed under Published elements in the left-hand column and also as the heading name on the label in the 3D preview, and later also in PARTdataManager as the label name.

    4. Scroll through the list of characteristics and enter the corresponding values for the characteristics connection type, stripping length and conductor connection cross-section, single-wire max. rated connection, as shown in the data sheet.

      • Connection type: PUSH IN

      • Connection Max. Cross Section Area: 1.5

      • Connection Insulation Stripped Length: 10

    5. Save in PARTproject and recreate the index .

  3. Test in PARTdataManager

    The set features are displayed in PARTdataManager in the 3D view and in the part information [Part information].
