The test run for extensive directories may possibly take several hours, so it is advisable to run the test either overnight or on a separate computer. When using the function , you have the option to cancel, but in contrary to the function not to lose already found results. For details see below. | |
When starting the TestMeta run, a) the selected directory/project is blocked and shown grayed out (deactivated). However, you may work on other projects in the meantime.
And b) the docking window QA-Check is opened.
With the options of the "Mode" list field you can filter results during the run or just as well after finished run.
The following options are available:
Error -> Make the required
corrections.
Idle: When testing the whole
catalog or directories some projects are in the queue. Using this option
you can see what still has to be tested.
Canceled: The filter offers
you the possibility to quickly see if a project has been canceled or
not. Furthermore you can see in which test segment (e.g. Project tests | Catalogue tests | Value range tests | Tables tests) the canceling
happened.
Canceling of Testmeta without regard of its current state. No results are transferred to PARTproject. The old state remains as it is.
When clicking on the button the following message appears:
The current step is canceled and then already completed segments are continued!
Projects are tested in the segments Project tests (e.g. "Check file names", "Check images"), Tables tests, Value range tests (e.g. "Check short name", "Check order number") and Catalogue tests: (e.g. Check short name for duplicates).
Projects initiated but not finished in any segment are canceled, so will remain in their initial state, the same as with .
Finished projects from the previous section will be continued in the next section and run through all sections (assemblies only continue, if all single parts continue).
The results of all projects (finished and canceled) are transferred to PARTproject.
In order to start a new TestMeta run, the QA-Check docking window needs to be closed. Click on .
