Mostly pictures look better with transparent background in the data sheet.
PDF does not support transparency in pictures. However, "masking" can achieve a similar effect. In most of the cases the difference does not become visible. Smaller differences may sometimes occur.
In the PARTtemplateDesigner, as of V12 there is the option Mask transparency. Default is "off", whereby backwards compatibility is given.
Precondition is that the picture has been saved with transparency (all formats which can transparency).
