5.12.12.5.5.3. Symbol library

If a symbol library is included, the single export formats (e.g. DXF files) have to be prepared according to following schema:

  1. Select the "wrapping" project with the help of which you want to assign a certain symbol as additional export format. (Here in this example adn2020.prj)

  2. In PARTproject -> Edit project -> tabbed page General -> menu item General -> Additional export formats, click on the search button ....

-> The same-named dialog is opened.

  3. Under File path, enter the path to the desired DXF file. (Here "symbol/0810002.dxf")

  4. Under ID, enter the unique identifier, how it can be found in the source file (e.g. PDT). (Here "0810002".)

  5. Confirm with OK.

-> Now the DXF/DWG file in entered under Additional export formats.

  6. Open Classification (CNS) by clicking on the search button ....

The dialog box Classification is opened.

  7. Set the classes CNSCAX|GFX|SYMREP (symbol representation) and CNSCAX|GFX|1 (symbol connection) and for each enter the instance number.

Close the dialog by clicking OK.

  8. Open Attributes (CNS) by clicking on the search button ....

-> The dialog box Class variables is opened.

  9. In the attribute CNS_DOC_CNSURI, enter the ID of the additional file with the following syntax:

    ADDFILE://ID

Use exactly the according ID from the source file (e.g. PDT). (Here "0810002".)

Under CNS_DOC_NAME, enter the file name of the DXF file.

  10. Create the link between Symbol connection (CNSCAX|GFX|1) and Symbol representation (CNSCAX|GFX|SYMREP), namely by the value of the attribute Parent CLS_ID INST_ID. The last value of the string is the matching instance of CNSCAX|GFX|SYMREP.

Class "CNSCAX|GFX|1" with attribute "Parent CLS_ID INST_ID" and value "CNSCAX|GFX|SYMREP||<Instance>"

Class "CNSCAX|GFX|1" with attribute "Parent CLS_ID INST_ID" and value "CNSCAX|GFX|SYMREP||<Instance>"

  11. Fill other attributes of CNSCAX|GFX|1 and CNSCAX|GFX|SYMREP (if needed).

  12. If all entries are made, the part can be exported to a CAD.
