5.12.11.7. Rated values of electrical parts and individual connections

As a rule, there are two different ways of assigning different design values to a part.

  • via global ECLASS Basic attributes such as BAH005 (rated voltage), although this option is not available for every ECLASS number or a similar attribute should transport this information. In addition, it is not possible to differentiate between individual connections or take cardinalities into account in this way.

  • via the classification CNSELEK|5|9, which is derived directly from the ECLASS Advanced Block (rated value for connection AAQ527 ).

Instances of this class must be linked to the corresponding connection via PARENT-CHILD relations. This is done in the same way as in the "Plug connections" section. If the electrical PDT is used, the corresponding links are created automatically. Note that a connection can have any number of rated values.

Any number of rated values can be assigned to a connection using the PARENT-CHILD relation. Different rated values result, for example, from different rating regulations, standards, different environmental conditions, etc.

  • Parent CLS_ID INST_ID ; unique identifier to determine the parent connection. The syntax is mandatory Class name + "||" + class instance (see chapter ??) e.g. "CNS_CP|4|3||PDT_240925 56"

  • Rated Permanent Current (rated continuous current); unit amperes, kiloamperes, ...

  • Rated Voltage ; unit volt, kilovolt, ...

  • Rated Insulated Voltage ; unit volt, kilovolt, ...

  • Rating To ; free text that indicates the different rating regulations and standards so that subsequent systems can apply corresponding assignments in the event of several rating values at a connection. The following entries are recommended, if applicable: IEC, UL, UR, CSA, CUL
