1.4.5.5.5.7. Manage the service from the command line

In addition to the Administration via PARTadmin, the service can also be accessed directly via pappcache.exe control. The Service name corresponds to the name of the program file in capital letters, i.e. PAPPCACHE.

Install or uninstall as a Windows service
pappcache.exe -i
pappcache.exe -u
Custom Service Name
pappcache.exe -n MyServiceName -i
Service Start and Stop

About Windows Service Manager ( services.msc ) or:

net start PAPPCACHE
net stop PAPPCACHE
Service Restart
pappcache.exe -restart [service name]

Stops the running service and restarts it. Also used internally by the watchdog in the event of errors.

Start in console mode (debugging)
pappcache.exe -e

All log messages are displayed directly on the console. Exit by pressing Ctrl-C.
