7.13.4.6.  Setting up variable shares

[Note]Note

If operations are to be carried out using variables to determine the correct pipe clamp, a variable release [Variable share] must first be set up for all variables used.

  1. In the Configurator docking window, in the context menu of the "Pipe clamp (R)", click on the Variable releases [Variable shares] command.

→ The Variable release [Variable share] dialog box opens.

  2. Assign a name under Share name (here "NR").

    [Note]Note

The share name [Share name] is automatically filled with the same name when you click on a variable from the Variables [Variables of part] selection field of the part [Variables of part]. Click on Edit mode below the Assigned variable to switch off automatic naming and assign your own name. Click on Set to accept the name.

Attention! If the name is not defined via Set and the edit mode [Edit mode] is switched off, the custom name will be overwritten with the next selection.

  3. Select part and variable of the part (here KP1 and NR).

This share is used for a correct row selection in the part "KP1".

  4. Click Set.

→ The share name [Share name] and variable [Variable] are displayed at the top.

  5. Click Apply [Commit] and OK.

  6. In the same way, proceed for "H1" and "S2". These shares are later used for the translation of the pipe clip.
