When you start the PARTdataManager for the first time, the Assistant starts up as well and offers you the following selections:

When checking the Save preferences box, you confirm your selection. The assistant now no longer shows up automatically during the program start. Irrelevant of which start option you chose, you can always switch between Part selection and User portal in the toolbar.
