7.6.2.7.3.1. Variant 1: Initially created by guiding sketch only

When using this variant it is ensured that the correct planes are used and the pattern origins will fit together.

  1. On the tabbed page 3D History, click on the context menu command Create guide curve....

    -> The sketcher is opened.

    The set of tools is slightly reduced. For example, circle and rectangle are hidden, as the guiding curve needs to be an open contour.

  2. Create the guiding curve and absolutely set the Pattern origin, namely at the beginning of the guiding curve.

    The single elements need to have tangential transitions, otherwise a warning will appear.

    Close the sketch.

    -> In the 3D History, the sketch is now displayed as guide curve.

  3. In the context menu of Guiding-Sketch, click on the command Create sweep base.

    The tabbed page Sweep base is opened.

  4. Under Start sketch, click on the button Create.

    -> The sketcher is opened.

    -> A green checkmark is displayed.

  5. Create the Start sketch.

    When using this variant the created start sketch is not shown in the 3D History.

  6. Click on Accept changes.

    -> On the tabbed page Sweep base, now under Start sketch, a green checkmark is shown.

  7. Confirm with OK.

    Now the Sweep is created from Start sketch and History.
