7.9.3.3. Delete

  • Delete element

    1. In the Sketcher, click on the element to be deleted.

    2. Select the command Delete element.

The sequence of the steps 1) and 2) is arbitrary.

-> The element is removed in the Sketcher, however, in the Sketch history the corresponding Feature will be kept. A relation line from Feature Delete element to Feature of deleted element (see following figure) is created. This relation line is only visible if the subordinated feature is displayed.

You can cancel the "delete" action.

    1. For this, call the context menu of the feature Delete element with a secondary mouse click.

    2. Select the command Delete step.

  • Delete element with condition: Delete function combined with a Condition.

    1. Follow the same steps as with the Delete element function.

-> The docking window Edit element is opened.

    2. Enter your desired Condition and confirm with OK.

-> In the example, the marked line will only then be created if the value for variable L is smaller than 10.

    [Note]Note

Delete element with condition should only be used with individual sketch elements. Do not connect the entire sketch to a condition since this can then become completely invalid!

In order to hide a sketch completely use the option Condition in the dialog box Rotational solid or Extrusion solid (see next figure).

Delete at dependent design elements

Once design is placed on faces of the 3D model (e.g. by Generate sketch on selected face or Face attributes...), the base feature in the Sketch history is highlighted blue.

Furthermore the base line is highlighted brown.
