1.4.3.  Database login…

In order to be able to work with ERP/PDM integration there has to be an existing LinkDB connection.

When PARTdataManager is started, the Login dialog box opens. Please enter your username and password, in order to be able to access the database.

Log in at the database.

Username and password are given by the system administration.

Standard user is "erpuser". Password is the same.

If the PLDBDEMO demo database is used, then the following users are available:

  • ecat

  • location

  • mechanical

  • plant

  • product_aircraft

  • product_automotive

  • quality

  • supplier

  • release

Password is not required.

For administrative tasks please use the following user.

  • sa (password "root")

If there should be no connection for any reason or being finished, you can call up the login dialog box via the respective button as well.

If there are several roles available for a certain user, then a second button is displayed in addition for changing the role.

When clicking on this button the adjoining dialog box is displayed.

Select the desired role here and confirm with OK.

If you seldomly change a role, then activate the checkbox Remember selected role.

Thereby the at last selected role is saved and the dialog suppressed as long as the user Damit wird die zuletzt gewählte Rolle gespeichert und der Rollendialog solange unterdrückt, bis der Benutzer wieder das Icon für "Rolle wechseln" klickt, oder die gespeicherte Rolle nicht mehr für diesen Benutzer verfügbar ist (Einstellung in plinkusers.cfg).
