6.3.1.1. Automatically generated timestamp number

In the demo environment, an automatically generated timestamp number is already set by default.

Test

  1. Select a dataset without ERP number.

    ERPNr: <will be generated>

  2. Use the Add data record to link database [Add dataset to link database] button to open the New ident number [new ident-no.] dialog box.

    (The button's display depends on role. Possibly, the function is not available for certain roles.)

    The ERPNo line is deactivated and shows the entry "<being generated>".

    The input fields can be extended as required so that the corresponding information can be entered directly here in the dialog box. For details, see Configure new ident number dialog box.

    Other fields that may exist in the LINKDB are not affected by this entry. You can edit these later in the PARTlinkManager.

  3. Select the desired values in the active list fields and then confirm with OK.

    -> The LinkDB data record is immediately displayed accordingly in the PARTdataManager displayed accordingly.
