4.24.8.2.6. Importing a project into the database

You can import individual projects and entire directories into the database. You have the following commands available.

  • Import this project into the [Import this project in database] database (at project level)

    1. Open the parts tree using the Switch tree on/off [Tree on/off] button.

    2. Use the context menu command Import this project into the database [Import this project in database] to import a project or even entire folders into the LINKDB.

      [Caution]Caution

      You could unintentionally import a very large number of data records without knowing the exact contents of a directory.

      -> The geometric data is now available, but no ERP numbers have been assigned yet.

      -> Imported data records are marked in red in the LINKDB as they do not yet contain an ERP number.

      The ERP number is assigned as described above.

  • Only import projects from this directory [Import only projects from this folder] (at directory level)

    The import is performed as shown above.

    [Caution]Caution

    When importing an entire folder it is possible to import more than 1000 datasets! Therefore be especially careful when using this command.

  • Import projects from all subdirectories [Import from all sub-folders] (at directory level)

    The import happens as shown above.

The project is completely imported into the database with all lines. All data records receive the entry Locked under Current status [Active status] and no entry under Requested status.
