If the physical properties are set in the CNS classification on the PARTsolutions website, these are also transferred to the CAD system during export.
In the PARTdataManager the attributes of the CNS classification are displayed in the index tree, in the context menu of a part under the menu item Part information.
In Inventor, the physical properties can be called up under iProperties -> Physical tab page.
The following points show how Inventor behaves in different scenarios:
If a material from PARTsolutions has been transferred, this is created (the density results from this).
It is not possible to set the density directly, because the density must be defined by the material.
If a volume has been transferred from PARTsolutions, the mass and density are calculated via Inventor.
If a mass has been transferred from PARTsolutions, the volume and density are calculated via Inventor.
If a mass and a volume have been transferred from PARTsolutions, the density is always calculated directly. (Density from the material is overwritten | density = mass / volume)
