7.8.4.  Rename variable

When renaming variables, in the same course, variables in formulas calculating the 3D part are automatically changed as well.

All variables [Variables] that are saved in the tab or 3db file are renamed, for example variables used in the NB.

Do NOT rename variables that are used in PARTproject on the General tab page (saved in project file .prj) or are saved in def files. For example, variables used in the short name [Short name] are not renamed. In such a case, an error appears in the QA test.

In order to rename a variable do the following:

  1. Select the desired variable in the list.

  2. Click on the button Rename.

    -> The Rename variable dialog box opens.

  3. Enter the new variable name.

    [Note]Note

    Only letters and numbers are accepted, all other characters (e.g. !,“,§,$,%,&,/, etc.) are ignored.

  4. Confirm with OK.

    -> The variable is renamed.
