5.4.5. Example "Filter search across all catalogs" from A to Z

Below you can see an example from A to Z, starting with a non-specific filter search across all catalogs [Filter search across all catalogs].

The following cylinder screw is required:

  1. Click the Filter icon.

    -> The preselection options are displayed.

  2. Select filter search across all catalogs [Filter search across all catalogs].

    -> The Filter dialog area with the individual categories opens. If you perform a filter search across all catalogs [Filter search across all catalogs], the result display is still unspecific as no filters have been set yet.

  3. Set the desired filters:

    • Catalogs -> Norelem

    • Keywords -> Socket Head Screws

    • Classifications -> Machine screw, flat, internal drive

      [Tip]Tip

      • Use the filter input field in order to quickly detect the searched option.

      • The sequence when setting filters doesn't matter in principle. If you have a lot of catalogs search times are shortened when restricting the number of catalogs in the first step.

      -> After having added a new filter the display is immediately adjusted.

  4. For example, set the following variable filters:

    • Strength-> 10.9

    • Material -> Steel

    -> Now only a few suitable products are displayed.

    -> In the course of specifying, more and more variable filters are shown (for screws nominal thread diameter and length, for example).

  5. Now specify nominal thread diameter and length, for example.

    • Diameter -> M8

    • Length -> 50

  6. Open the part.

    -> Only lines are displayed on which which filter specifications apply. The search result filter on/off [Search filter on/off] is turned on. If you click on the icon, all Table rows.
