In the following example, a key is to be added in order to be able to provide the PARTsolutions attributes with a prefix.

Both the standard attributes as well as the extra attributes (see Section 2.3.10.3.2, “Block [CadDocumentAttributes] - Transfer user-defined attributes ”) are given a prefix.

  1. Open under PARTadmin -> Category -> PARTsolutions -> Configuration files -> $CADENAS _SETUP -> ifsolidworks.cfg open the AttributeMapping(is3d) block.

  2. Insert a key (see also Section 1.6.1.4.3, “Editing blocks, keys and key values”).

    The key value is the prefix.

  3. Save the settings in PARTadmin.

  4. Export the part to SolidWorks.

    -> All PARTsolutions attributes now contain the prefix (in this example "CNS_").
