5.8.2.1.16.21.  Manage address data

Editing a larger number of manufacturer address data directly in PARTproject is possible but tedious, see Classification (By Countries).

It is better to use the Manage address data function.

The function enables both the export of already existing address data and the import.

Preparations

  • The By countries classification must be installed.

  • For initial filling, it is best to carry out an export beforehand in order to obtain the table structure. (In the index tree categories.prj selected -> under Automation context menu command Manage address data )

    Manage address data -> Export

    Manage address data -> Export

  • Provide a CSV file with the desired address data.

    • Following columns are supported:

      CATALOG; COUNTRY; SORTPOS; COMPANY; DESCRIPTION; STREET; ZIP; LOCATION; PHONE; FAX; EMAIL; URL; NAME

      [Note]Note

      SORTPOS: Here you can optionally control the address sequence in output media. Use natural numbers for the entry. The country [Country] with the "1" is displayed in the first position by default when the page is loaded, the others follow accordingly in the list field. Under City, the city assigned to "1" is displayed accordingly, the others follow accordingly in the list field.

      If there are no entries under SORTPOS, the display is alphabetically.

      Example:

      [Note]Note

      When using spreadsheet programs, make sure that no extra line with a neutral label is inserted in the first row during export and import and that UTF-8-BOM is set as the format so that, for example, umlauts and special characters are displayed correctly.

      Separator should be semicolon.

    • The order of the columns is arbitrary.

    • All columns except COUNTRY are optional.

    • The country codes can be taken from $CADENAS_DATA/datasetup/classsystem/by_countries/by_countries_default.csv (column 6).
