5.4.4.  Display condition for parts selection

Setting under PARTadmin -> Category Roles -> Tab page General -> Display condition for part selection [Display condition for parts selection]

[Note]Note

No entry under Display condition for part selection [Display condition for parts selection] corresponds:

(LINKTABLE.ERP_PDM_NUMBER<>'')

The condition is only effective if there are parts with numbers in respective directories!

The directories and projects in the catalog index are colored green or semi-transparent according to the condition under Display condition for part selection [Display condition for parts selection]. See user "location" -> role "Aministrator".

The MECH1 role contains the following condition for the display condition for part selection [Display condition for parts selection]:

(LINKTABLE.ERP_PDM_NUMBER<>'') AND (ERPTABLE.MECH1='x')

Meaning:

  • For a part to be displayed in green in the structure tree, it must have both an ERP number and the identifier 'x' in the MECH1 column.

  • For a directory to be displayed in green in the structure tree, it must contain at least one part that fulfills the condition.

  • If the condition is not met, the project/directory is displayed semi-transparently.

[Note]Note

Overwrite settings on the Display tab page under Status colors for catalog index and may result in a multi-colored index tree. You can find an example of this under user "location".

If the option under PARTlinkManager -> Extras menu [Extras] -> Configure ERP environment -> Mark linked parts [Assign linked parts in the parts selection] in parts selection is deactivated, the catalog index is displayed in one color.

Details can be found under Section 7.1.3, “ Display condition for part selection - Colored catalog index - plinkgroups.cfg -> Block [Role_name] -> Key "CONDITIONTREE" ”.
