1.6.1.3.2.10.  3D view: Tangential plane on round face

Directly in the 3D view, you can set a tangential plane on a round face (extruded or rotated circle / circular arc). (Feature only for demo purposes, not released.)

Example:

  1. Select a round face.

  2. Open the context menu and click on Tangential plane.

    Context menu command "Tangential plane"

    Context menu command "Tangential plane"

Depending on whether it's about a face with curve around one axis (e.g. cylinder) or around two axes (e.g. ball or torus), in the docking window Edit element one or two fields to input the angle will appear, in order to specify the plane's exact position.

  3. Confirm with OK.
