1.6.1.3.2.2. Handling improved for many functions

With V12 the handling of different functions such as Base extrude, Cut extrude, Pattern, Sweep, etc. has been basically improved.

Docking window "Tool" exemplarily at "Base extrude" / "Extrusion solid"

  • Editing dialogs have got their own docking window Tool. The window's labeling is corresponding to the called function (for example at "Base extrude" "Extrusion solid"). As long as a tool is active, History tree, Variable Manager, Table are automatically disabled in order to prevent model changes; furthermore the context menu of the 3D view is not displayed.

  • The 3D view itself stays active even if the editing dialog is opened. You can also change values and the effect will be immediately visible in 3D.[6]

  • The docking window Tool behaves as all others, too. It allows to adjust size, position and to free it from the grouping.

  • If the docking window is closed with a tool in active state, changes are not applied.

  • The docking window can be shown or hidden, if the current view is 3D modelling (same behavior as the history tree) and allows no access as long as the sketcher view is active or you are in the table mode[7].
