1.4.5.5.6.3.  pappcache.cfg configuration file

The configuration is saved in the following file:

$CADENAS_SITESETUP/pappcache.cfg

The file uses the PARTsolutions configuration format with blocks. Each server is configured using a [server:<Hostname>]block, where "Hostname" corresponds to the computer name of the server.

[Important]Important

The configuration is automatically reloaded every 60 seconds. Changes that do not require a restart take effect immediately.

Sample configuration:

[server:meinserver]

1.4.5.5.6.3.1. RFS Cache Settings
KeyTypeStandardDescription
rfsdataseparated boolfalseSeparate cache by API key/hash (client separation). When enabled, each client receives its own cache area, identified by the HTTP headers X-ApiKey and X-Hash. This corresponds to the option "User groups have separate caches for CADENAS_DATA".
rfsdataupdate boolfalseEnable background cache warm-up . The server periodically reads files from the backend to pre-fill the cache.
rfsdataupdatetime int60Cache warm-up interval in minutes.
rfsdataupdatecatalogs stringemptyComma-separated list of directories to be re-indexed. Empty = all configured directories.
rfssize int10Maximum cache size in gigabytes. The oldest entries are removed when this limit is exceeded.
rfspath Path–Directory for the cache. Supports environment variables (e.g., $CADENAS_USER/rfs2).
1.4.5.5.6.3.2. Server Settings
KeyTypeStandardDescription
certname stringemptyName of the SSL certificate in the Windows Certificate Store. Blank = automatic search for host name.
dnsname stringemptyComma-separated list of allowed CORS origin hostnames.
httpport int9020Port for HTTP connections.
httpsport int9022Port for HTTPS connections.
http2 boolfalseEnable HTTP/2 via ALPN negotiation .
allowproxy boolfalseAccept proxied connections (evaluates the X-Forwarded-For header). Enable only if an upstream proxy is used.
1.4.5.5.6.3.3. Common Section [COMMON]
KeyTypeStandardDescription
MaxPostSizeMB int5,000Maximum size of POST requests in megabytes.
MemPostSizeMB int150POST data up to this size (MB) is kept in memory; anything larger is written to the hard drive.
WorkerPoolSize int250Number of worker threads in the thread pool.
WorkerPoolTimeout int5,000Idle timeout for worker threads in milliseconds.
IoPoolSize int0Number of I/O threads (0 = automatic detection based on the number of CPU cores).
BackLogSize int500Size of the TCP listen backlog queue.
EnableWatchDog booltrueEnable the watchdog for automatic crash recovery.
Watchdog Timeout int60Time limit in seconds after which the watchdog considers the server to be unresponsive.
1.4.5.5.6.3.4. Restart Behavior When Changes Are Made
SettingIs a restart required?
rfsdataseparated, rfsdataupdatecatalogs, allowedOrigins, allowProxyNo (Hot Reload)
httpport, httpsport, certname, http2Yes (automatic web server restart)
rfssize, rfspathYes (Cache Reconfiguration)
