7.12.16.  Save as CSV file

You can also save a table as a CSV or XLSX file.

  1. Above the table or in the File menu, the command As a table file store [Save as table file].

    → The Write table file window opens.

  2. In the File path area, select whether you want to create a CSV or an XLSX file.

    Enter a complete path and file name for the CSV or XLSX file as the storage location. Via the button ... button opens the Save file as... window, in which you can change the default storage location (installation directory of PARTsolutions ).

  3. Specify which components (header [Header], variables [Variables] ) are to be transferred and what the line structure [Layout of lines] should look like.

    [Important]Important

    The header data [Header] and line structure [Layout of lines] must be specified in exactly the same way during import as during export, otherwise the CSV cannot be interpreted correctly.

    Header:

    • Variable names: compare variable manager [Variable Manager]Name column

    • Unit of the variable: see Variable manager [Variable Manager]Unit column

    • Variable description: see Variable manager [Variable Manager]Description column

    • Data format of the variables [Data format of variables]: see Variable manager [Variable Manager] → column D

    • The standard number [Standard number], standard text [Standard text] and standard designation [Standard name] can be found in the identification details [Identification data].

  4. Confirm with OK.

    → The CSV file is generated.
