In the following terms used in the matrices are explained:

  • part color: ...describes the setting in the matrix under Color and Texture [Color and texture]Color.

  • part material: ... indicates the setting in the matrix under Render properties [Render attributes]Render material.

  • no face: PARTdesignerArea attributes... [Face attributes...] not set

  • face color:

    The SYS_FaceAttributeColor face attribute is set.

  • face material:

    The SYS_FaceAttributeRenderMaterial face attribute is set.

    [Note]Note

    If a part does not yet contain any settings under SYS_FaceAttributeColor, the color from the material definition is automatically set there.

    However, if the color under SYS_FaceAttributeRenderMaterial is changed later, the color set under SYS_FaceAttributeColor will not be overwritten.

  • face color + face material:

    The face attribute SYS_FaceAttributeRenderMaterial AND SYS_FaceAttributeColor is set.

  • face color + face material mix:

    The setting in the Area Attributes [Face attributes] dialog box is the same as in the previous point.

    However, when specifying the material used in the Edit material for 3D preview dialog, the Mix color with color texture option is also set.
