5.9.4.3.4. Example: Variants of 3D models

For example, variants can be used in projects which have different 3D models and dimensioning views assigned to their rows.

In following example the part number / order number (TNR) is used for control of the variants.

  1. In the Variants dialog area, click on below (none) in the Variants dialog area.

  2. In the Variable column, create the variable for the part number (here TNR as an example).

  3. Enter the part number in the Value column.

  4. In the 3D models dialog area, select the desired 3D model in the (none) line for each variant using the list box selection.

Take a look at the result in the PARTdataManager view.
