The following sections list all CAD systems (for which currently interfaces are available) in alphabetical order with their respective commands/menu items.

Every CAD section is built up as follows:

Standard information
Follow the links to read the standard information regarding the individual menu items.
Additional information
Here you will find CAD-specific information. E.g. on placement dialogs or interface activation.

Preceded you see a matrix which shows the available functions for each interface.

The corresponding legend is shown in the next table.

	Short note	Description
	Insert model (3D)	If no application has been started yet, the 3Dfindit client starts, if this is not possible, the 3Dfindit client starts PARTdataManager if an application is already running, the user is asked whether they want to start 3Dfindit or PARTdataManager wants to start.
	Insert model (2D)	Start of PARTdataManager and transfer of 2D components from 3Dfindit to CAD
	3Dfindit	3Dfindit: Visual search engine for 3D manufacturer components If 3Dfindit is not running, it is started and if it is already running, exactly this application is used.
	PARTdataManager	PARTdataManager: Transfer of 3D components from 3Dfindit to CAD If PARTdataManager is not running, it is started and if it is already running, exactly this application is used.
	Replace	Replacing a 3Dfindit component with another one
	Insert repeatedly	Lastly added part is inserted one more time
	Open project	The system checks whether the selected assembly element originates from 3Dfindit.

Extras

	Load PS2/3 File	Load PS2/3 file via Explorer
	Run script	Run script
	Release License	Explicit release of the 3Dfindit export license (only relevant for floating licensing).
	Settings	Call PARTadmin to make changes to the interface configuration file
	Event handling	Special settings concerning LIVEsearch. See Section 1.6.14, “LIVEsearch ” -> "Automated call of LIVEsearch"

	Execute Geometric Search	Seamless is started and a geometric search is executed
	Execute Partial Search	Seamless is started and a Partial search is executed.
