1.1.1.3.2.3. EOL (End of Life): Various new statuses

Various EOL statuses can now be set in PARTproject:

  • Do not use for new constructions (NRND)

  • End of production (EOP)

  • End of sale (EOS)

  • End of service and repairs (EOSR)

  • End of life cycle (EOL)

1.1.1.3.2.3.1. EOL phases - set at project level via Json editor

To set End of Life phases, proceed as follows:

  1. In the Replacement after expiry (optional) [Replacement after expiration (Optional)] line, click on the ... button.

    -> The Define replacement projects dialog box opens.

  2. Select the Edit rules [Edit rule set] tab.

  3. For example, select Empty template(phases) and edit the date ("date") and the lead time for a corresponding notification ("notify") for the individual statuses.

    Further information:

    • state: internal value, do not change

    • partstate: controls the icons (which you can also select in the dialog)

      • 0: Both parts are valid

      • 1: Only new part is valid

      • 2: Canceled without replacement, temporarily available

      • 3: Deleted without replacement

      • 4: Does not run out

    • linemapping: false|true

      • false: The defined phases refer to the entire project.

      • true (default, even if the entry does not occur in the JSON): It is interpreted on a line-by-line basis.

Display of texts in tooltips and dialogs in 3Dfindit or PARTdataManager

Texts, both in tooltips and in dialogs, are displayed according to the respective active EOL phase(s). This can also lead to time overlaps and multiple displays.

The different texts are eol.cfg set in the configuration file. See Section 1.7.4.5, “ eol.cfg and eolphases.def ” in ENTERPRISE 3Dfindit (Professional) - Administration.

1.1.1.3.2.3.2. EOL phases - set at line level via GUI

Setting EOL (End of Life) information line by line was previously only possible for the end status (EOL). Different EOL phases can now be defined:

  • Do not use for new constructions (NRND): [Do not use for new constructions (NRND)]

  • End of production (EOP):

  • End of sale (EOS):

  • End of service and repairs (EOSR): [End of service and repairs (EOSR)]

  • End of life cycle (EOL):

  1. Select the tab/tac file of a project in PARTproject.

  2. In the table, call up the context menu command Mark rows as discontinued/edit... [Mark/edit lines as expired...] in the table.

  3. The Groups block is new: Here you can create the individual groups via the plus sign and make the settings for the EOL phase.

  4. The data of the relevant EOL phases are displayed in the tooltip.
