2.10.1.2.7. Chamfers and Fillets in PARTdesigner

Now it is possible to draw chamfers and fillets with one function in PARTdesigner: Blends. This saves a lot of time compared to drawing it with extrudes and rotates.

[Important]Important

  • Blends cost calculation time and could lead to strange results in complex use cases. Therefore only use it in the use cases shown in the detailed documentation. See Section 7.6.2.10, “ Blend (Insert Chamfer/Fillet...) ” in eCATALOGsolutions Manual.

  • In old PARTsolutions versions the parts will still work, but the blends are not visible. So the blends should only be used for details not for basic geometry. E.g. it should not be used for a 10 cm radius on a 15 cm block.

  • The function works in all big CAD systems excluding OSDM.
