7.6.2.10.5.5. Face selection

	Note
	If edge selection and face selection lead to the same result, in complex cases, basically, use face selection. If only one or two certain edges shall be edited for example, you can decide for the more comfortable and quicker proceeding.

	Note
	For the face selection you have three ways of proceeding available which lead to different results. Select all surfaces in ONE step and then using command New Chamfer/Fillet.... Creation of ONE face with New Chamfer/Fillet.... Then in each further step, selection of only ONE face and using the command Insert face(s) to 'Blend xy'.... Selection of all faces in ONE step + definition of Base surface.

In the following you can find examples for these three procedures:

1. 5 faces are selected in ONE step.

2. After using the command New Chamfer/Fillet..., in the dialog box Chamfer/Fillet, under Faces (intersect.), the 5 intersecting faces are shown.
  
  Under "Faces (intersect.)" display of 5 intersecting faces
3. Result:
  The common cutting edges of all faces are rounded/bevelled.

Creation of ONE face with New Chamfer/Fillet.... Then in each further step, selection of only ONE face and using the command Insert face(s) to 'Blend xy'....
In the dialog box Chamfer/Fillet, under Faces, the total number of selected faces is shown. (At last step of repetition '5' in this example.)

Result:
All edges of individual faces are edited by the Blend feature (chamfer or fillet).

Selection of all faces in ONE step + definition of Base surface
1. Select the desired faces in the same way as in the first use case and then call the dialog box Chamfer/Fillet via context menu command New Chamfer/Fillet....
2. But now activate the checkbox Base surface in addition, unlike as in the 1. use case.
Result:
Only edges adjoining the base surface are rounded (or bevelled). The vertical edges at the small cuboid for example are not rounded in compare to the use without base surface (compare above).

Once again all results in direct comparison:

Select all surfaces in ONE step and then using command New Chamfer/Fillet....
-> The common cutting edges of all faces are rounded/bevelled.
