1.2.1.1.1.  Photo search

As of version 12.10, there is the option in 3Dfindit (not available for PARTdataManager ) to create a ML[1]-based photo search.

The photo search enables parts to be found more quickly, for example as part of spare parts management.

License requirement: The CNS2009*PSADDONS*PHOTOSEARCH license is required for the photo search.

Hardware requirements: In order to achieve an acceptable indexing and search speed, a powerful graphics card is absolutely essential. However, it is also possible to forward operations that require a graphics card to another computer.

Installation: The additional functionality for the photo search is provided via plugins in the form of msi packages: psol_plugin_photosearch_<version>.msi, psol_plugin_machinelearning_cpu_<version>.msi and psol_plugin_machinelearning_gpu_<version>.msi.

Example of photo search in 3Dfindit:

  1. Open 3Dfindit and click on the 2D Search [2D search] icon.

-> The corresponding dialog area is opened.

  2. Click on the Photo search [Photo Search] dialog area and then select the desired image file in the Explorer or drag the photo file into the area.

-> The photo is transferred to the dialog area.

  3. Optional editing

The background is initially determined automatically. In some cases, it makes sense to correct it afterwards by left-clicking on points that belong to the foreground and right-clicking on points that belong to the background.
