Simple case with automatic material master creation (PLM interface, CAD export and additional function createAndLinkMaterial):
In contrast to the previously mentioned case (PLM interface, CAD export), a material is assigned to the document info record using the additional function createAndLinkMaterial.
Activate the additional function and enter the SAP ECTR material attribute name "SAP_MATERIAL_NO" in ifsapectr.cfg > Block CREATE_AND_LINK_MATERIAL in the key material_number with the following syntax.
?_ATTR("SAP_MATERIAL_NO")
In SAP ECTR Desktop, the automatically generated (and incremented) material number is displayed.
In the case of assemblies, the individual parts are displayed under Components.
