A document is created from an empty line (in CAD and in SAP ECTR, which is the standard case). The LinkDB entry is only created when a material number is assigned to the part. The link between the SAP material and the LinkDB data record is created using the button
Linking existing material master (new) button.
Activate the assignment of a timestamp ERP_PDM_NUMBER. See Section 4.12.1, “Creating ERP numbers ”.
Create a column for the SAP material number in the LinkDB and make it visible for PARTdataManager. For details see Section 4.3, “Add / remove database columns ”.
Activate the key
SAPFIELDDB
inerpcustom.cfg
, in the blockVARS
and set the column name for the material number as the value.
Export an empty line (without ERP_PDM_NUMBER).
-> The filename displayed in CAD includes the document ID (SAP_DOCID).
-> The document has been created with the document ID in SAP ECTR (standard).
-> The document has been created without material.
Assign a material to the part created in SAP ECTR.
Assign the SAP material number to the exported line via the
Linking existing material master (new) button to the SAP material number.
-> The Create link? dialog box opens.
-> A confirmation prompt is opened.
-> A LinkDB dataset is created.
-> Already existing documents (PLMTABLE2) are linked to the material in SAP.
-> The ERP_PDM_NUMBER column receives an entry per timestamp.
-> The column SAP_MATERIAL_NO gets the SAP material number.
Open the material from the selected line using
Display material master in SAP ECTR [Display material data in SAP ECTR] to open the material in SAP ECTR for viewing in the Object Browser.
